I know of no legitimate software that will recommend "updating the Finder." That just doesn't make any sense. Start by describing the exact message you're encountering. Without knowing what YouTube video you may have seen or the actions you took, guidance will be difficult. Please look in XtraFinder download for installation instruction. Read Phony "tech support" / "ransomware" popups and web pages for an example. Except on OS X 10.12 Sierra, XtraFinder does not work if SIP is fully enabled. However, most websites hosting illegally obtained movies are littered with scams and advertisements for garbage products that should never be installed on any Mac. Simply watching movies, even from disreputable websites, cannot infect a Mac with a virus. Solution: Recommended - Try the Troubleshooting Tool. Although that may seem like an inconsequential difference to you, because your Mac might be acting as though it has been affected by one, the concern is the actions you may have taken based on that assumption. I understand something is wrong with your Mac, but whatever it might be isn't a "virus" because there are none that affect OS X.
